Lesson 3: Training Process
Can understand a training handout.
今回は、研修の資料を読むというリーディングのレッスンから。
表現はこちら。
- All [purchasing assistants] are required to [attend sales meetings].
- Employees can [attend trade shows] only if supervised by [a senior staff member].
- At the end of every shift, employees are expected to [leave all documents in the office].
基本的に求められていること、監督下でしかできないこと、終業時にやるべきことについて主に読み取る。
ACCUARCY
質問の聞き方によって、YesなのかNoなのか変わる。
「癌のX線写真を扱えるか？」といったら、制限つきのYesだし、「ひとりで癌のX線写真を扱えるか？」といったら、Noになる。
なるほど。
- I said: No. We can conduct x-ray scans for cancer only if supervised by a senior technician.
- Correct: Yeah, but we can conduct x-ray scans for cancer only if supervised by a senior technician.

Lesson 4: Ask the Trainer
Can clarify training instructions.
続いて、研修の手順について質問をして明確にするというもの。
- What do you mean by [specimen codes]?
- Could you explain [the report template] further?
- What should I do when [the head researcher is absent]?
冒頭の少しだけで終わり。
ただ、こちらの質問がなかなか聞き取れなくて困った。
What do you do when you are unable to do a task.
「unable」が「an able」に聞こえて、「仕事ができるときどうする？…どゆこと？」となってしまった。
ただ、質問の意味がわかっても、答え…けっこうむずい。
It is not allowed that I am unable to my task.
こんなんでいいのかな？
まとめ
キーとなるひとつの単語を聞き間違えると、全体がクシャっとなる。
