Lesson 3: Price Negotiation
Can understand how to negotiate for a product price.
商品価格の交渉のメールを読むというリーディングのレッスン。
今回は前回の続き＆リベンジでPRACTICEから。
いや～…難しかった。
どう答えたらいいのか、わかりづらい質問が多かった。
文章は理解していたと思うんだけど、その後のスピーキングっすよね。日本語でも難しかったかも。
GRAMMER
I said: He is asking for to upgrade...
Correct: He is asking for an upgrade...
I said: He's asking for two sets of dumbbells.
Correct: He's asking for two sets of dumbbells for free.
I said: He asking for 10% discount.
Correct: They will order two treadmill machines and two stationary bicycles if we reduce the price by 10%.
VOCABULARY
- beneficial /bènəfíʃəl/: 利益 ※発音注意
- further /fˈɚːðɚ/: そのうえに、さらに
- transaction /trænsˈækʃən/: 取引、売買
- motorized /ˈmotɝˌaɪzd/: モーターのついた
- anxiety /æŋzάɪəṭi/: 不安
Lesson 4: Price Offer
Can negotiate a product price through e-mail.
続いて、メールで交渉文を書く、ライティング。
表現はこちら。
- Basically, we are interested in your proposal, but [we can’t afford it].
- Would you consider [lowering the price]?
- We can agree to [have you as our supplier] if you can guarantee a [lower price and immediate delivery].
現時点での回答、値下げの依頼、提案という流れ。
序盤でタイムアップ。

Lesson 2: Place an Order
レストランで何を頼むかという表現、
- What will you have? I will have fried chicken.
- Would you like to have drinks? I won’t have drinks.
Lesson 3: The Menu
会食でおすすめを教えるという表現。
- What should I try? You should try their tempura.
- What can we have for dessert? We can have coffee jelly.
まとめ
教材で求められている答えなのか、英会話として求められている答えなのか、というのはあるよね。
そこは先生も判断の差があるので、我々のほうも見極めておかないと。
